Background of the Song
Bhool Jaaun is one of 2 promotional songs for DamaDamm!. It is a never seen before, first time collaboration between 2 highly talented Music Directors Himeshji & Sachin Gupta.
Sachin Gupta rose to fame with the smash hit songs of the movie ‘Prince’. He is also the creator of the popular song Doorie sung by Atif Aslam. Bhool Jaaun is his first time of working with Himeshji after being signed by Himeshji’s company HR Musik Ltd.
A heavily guitar driven track, the lyrics of Bhool Jaaun have also been written by Sachin and the video (which was released at Diwali last year) features Sachin & Himeshji together. The guitar is Sachin’s main instrument. The song has been appreciated by all and has been Number 1 on Deepa Rai’s Official People’s Network Chart Show on Sunrise Radio in the UK. The song is still currently in the Top 5 of the chart show!
I personally, am a big fan of this song & we look forward to future collaborations between Himeshji & Sachin :o)) I always smile when I hear Himeshji’s voice in the song… :o))
If you love Bhool Jaaun, please tell us your thoughts here!
We hope you have all enjoyed our Song of the Week feature! It will be back!
For those who may be unaware, Shortcut Romeo is one of Himeshji’s forthcoming films as a Music Director. The film stars Ameesha Patel & Neil Nitin Mukesh in the lead roles and is expected to release later this year.
Neil Nitin Mukesh’s musical legacy doesn’t seem to leave him anytime soon. The actor is set to sing once again for the big screen for his new film “Shortcut Romeo”.
“Recording a song today! For ‘Shortcut Romeo’. Music by the great Himesh Reshammiya. Will give you details once it’s done later in the evening,” Neil wrote on his Twitter page.
“Shortcut Romeo” is a romantic thriller directed and produced by Susi Ganeshan. It is the remake of the Ganeshan’s 2006 Tamil film “Thiruttu Payale”. The film also features Puja Gupta and Ameesha Patel. While Puja will be playing Neil’s love interest, Ameesha would be seen in a negative role.
This is not the first time that Neil has turned a actor-singer. He has previously sung the title track of his film “Aa Dekhen Zara” and later gave his voice for another song in Madhur Bhandarkar’s “Jail”.
Dil Jo Kahe Wahi Karna Hain, Baandisha Mein Nahi Marna Hain Maine Socha Hain… Jeena Hain Har Mausam… I Need My Space! I Want My Freedom!
Hello Reshammiyans!
This has been our last week of voting for Song of the Week: DamaDamm! Thank you to all of you who voted over these past weeks! Our last voted Song of the Week is none other than the vivacious I Need My Space! We will still discuss Bhool Jaaun next week :o)
Background of the Song
A really peppy, rock based number, Himeshji has created I Need My Space, I Want My Freedom to explain the character Sameer’s difficulties that he faces in his relationship with Shikha.
One would expect Himeshji to sing in his original voice tone but he surprises all by singing in the middle octave – yet again proving his singing strength which many are beginning to realise.
The song talks about wanting to do what your heart tells you, breaking free from all boundaries and being able to be yourself for some time – a phase that many relationships go through.
The female vocals have been sung by Aditi Singh Sharma who also accompanied Himeshji on Madhushala & Mango.
The song has been wonderfully picturised with Sameer letting his hair down across Mumbai and realising his time for freedom has arrived!
No wonder it has made this week’s Song of the Week!
If you voted for the song, tell us why! Looking forward to all of your responses :o)
With his first attempt as a singer producing a hit track for the film Singh Is King, Akshay Kumar is all geared up to repeat history.

Asha Bhosle along with Abida Parveen and Runa Laila will be judging the teams of India and Pakistan mentored by Himesh Reshammiya and Atif Aslam respectively.
The upcoming singing based reality show Sur Kshetra just got bigger and better. The TV show that is modeled as the battle of singing talent between India and Pakistan has Himesh Reshammiya and Atif Aslam mentoring teams of their respective countries.

I am sure many of you will remember that Himeshji has always performed for the Mumbai Police event “Umang”. We will soon get the chance to see him perform there again this year as the event was recently held in Mumbai!
We bring you a small clip of Himeshji’s interview after the show:
Himesh Reshammiya is doing a number of things and enjoying it. The music composer-singer-actor will now be seen as a mentor in the new music reality show Sur Kshetra. With a whole lot of movies and songs behind him, Himesh says he’s enjoyed all of them.
But if he had to choose one film of his which he thoroughly enjoyed, which would would be it? “Damadamm,” he says hesitating, “I’m very proud of it. It’s a clean entertainer. Of course, Aap ka suroorr was a huge hit. I have a 40 per cent success ratio. But I will try and better my performance,” he says.
And has he ever not enjoyed any of his films? “No, I’ve enjoyed them all. But I was not very happy with the way Kajraare was released. Pooja Bhatt made a very nice film and I somehow feel it was not released properly. But that’s a thing of the past. Bhushan Kumar and I have resolved our issues,” he says. Himesh, who will be seen in an action film next, wants to lose weight and tone up before he starts shooting for it.
