Himesh, Udita on a world tour
Though he recently held a rousing concert in Dubai, for all practical purposes, Himesh left on the night of July 25 for his first world tour.
“We’ll be covering 18 cities in approximately 45 days. It’s taken me and my troupe six months of preparations. All I can promise at this stage is a spectacular concert in all the US and Canadian cities where we’ll perform.”
This latest Bollywood concert-tour abroad is expected to dispel the notion that the best times for Mumbai’s entertainers out West are over.
According to reports filtering in from the venues of Reshammiya’s purported concerts the interest rate in ‘Aapka Suroor Live’ concerts are far higher than for any of the concerts by Bollywood’s big stars.
Himesh has quite a line-up of items The tickets for Himesh’s concerts for many US cities are already sold out. “Our tour begins in Atlanta. I’ll be singing live for one hour and fifteen minutes.
Vinita and Himani will sing my songs. We’ve Alisha who would of course be doing her Kajra re number(which isn’t mine) and then we have Udita Goswami to do item numbers.”
Himesh has been working round the clock to take this time off for his first world tour. “I planned it this way. I cleared my backlog of assignments. There’s no major films released in September-October. When I return on 3 September I’ll immediately resume my composing work. No one will suffer.”
Himesh left in a flurry of excitement. “I’m feeling on top of the world. Performing live is a different high. The whole concert is planned on a very grand scale. I’ll get to react with audiences in the US on a one-to-one basis.”

Himesh Reshammiya is very talented and has a big fan base here in the West Indies. He should extend his tour there as well! Especially in Trinidad and Tobago! PLEASE?! Michelle
i thjink whatever he is doin is rite,coz if u perform in front of ur fans.they feel very nice n himeshji is doin very gud thing by performing in front of theuir fans.,n results r clearly sayin dat he has superb fan following in west!!!!!!!! neeman
The show in Houston was a total disappointment. Himesh, as himself, is a super triple threat – singing, music directing, and trend setter. However, the folks he brought along on the tour, with the exception of Abhijeet Sawant, really brought down his passion for music. I am extrememly disappointed by Himani and Vineet as they could have performed better, instead looked like fools when they did not even sing in tune when performing with Himesh. Himesh looked disgusted with his orchestra/band, as they could not provide music he envisioned. Alisha was appalling – the woman could not sing and was dressed horribly. Udita just did her foul gyrations and went off stage. Come on folks, there are kids in the crowd. Himesh did his best but he was stuck on the same tunes! There was so much more that could have been presented. But you can feel the strong feelings and deep relationship that he has with music; one could feel it within themselves.
The crowd who sat behind us was so obscene that we could not enjoy the show. There’s a difference between creating exciting ‘hungama’ and being obscene when at concerts. We all have paid to enjoy the show, and we should respect others around us. People in India don’t even act this irate. They would have been thrown out of the theatre should they even begin this nonsense.
Bottom line – it was so very obvious there was no rehearsal. cmvag

I got hold of one of Himesh R cd’s when i visted India for the first time in 2005. I am returning for just six weeks this summer to the north, first stop delhi. Does Himesh R gig/play much in the cities?
can’t seem to find any tour dates or information online!
Any help would be appreciated

Im afraid we have no information on Himeshji’s future concerts at the moment – he recently performed in South Africa. However due to his other projects, it may be difficult to have more concerts. If we do, however, get anymore information, it will definitely be posted here – so please keep checking the site for more updates!
