The singer, who is making his debut as an actor in his film Aap Ka Surroor – The Real Love Story, is now going ahead and shooting two endings for his film. It has been learnt that two climaxes are currently being shot in Berlin, Germany. While one will be a happy ending where Himesh unites with his lady love (played by newcomer Riya), the second will have a tragic ending. The climax is action-packed to boot. There are two choppers and one private jet do the rounds in the sky, while 10 BMWs speed on the roads, for the final sequence.

Filling into the shoes of a maestro like Ustad Nusrat Fateh Ali Khan is no mean task, but this modest young man from Pakistan is not only continuing the legacy of the legendary Sufi singer with absolute elan, he has carved a niche for himself in the global music scene as well. Rahat Fateh Ali Khan , nephew of Nusrat Fateh Ali Khan took up the charge of his uncle’s Qawwali troupe in 1997 after his untimely demise. Since then he has not looked back.

While his Sufi renditions have left audiences spellbound world wide, his recent forays into Bollywood have resulted in many blockbuster songs.

“Recently I have sung for Himesh Reshammiya in the film Namastey London. It was a very nice experience working with him,” he says about his recent Bollywood venture.

Vipulji and I have been trying to work with each other since a long time. He told me that he wanted to try something new, and I was really very excited to work with Javed Saab. So I requested him to do the film. Finally, he agreed, and I am really grateful to him. And it was a very unusual combination, but Javed Saab has given me his best. I told him that I just wanted to use his romantic poetry completely, and I orchestrated and composed it in a very young, feel-good item. I’m very satisfied with what has been composed and because it will give a personal identification to everyone in love. Namastey London music will rock the clubs and yet I’d like to ensure that it is not only hardcore mass album that garners commercial success but also an album which gets a lot of critical acclaim. That is something which was difficult, yet God has been very kind and I’ve been able to achieve it.
I’m very satisfied with what has been composed because it will give a personal identification to everyone in love.

Himesh is busy shedding extra kilos and shooting for his first film, Aap Ka Suroor, as the leading man.

He says, “The scale of the film is unprecedented. We’re going to locales in Germany, Australia and other parts of Europe where no Hindi film has been shot before. We’re transporting private jets, choppers on location and a foreign crew of 150 people all over Europe. We’re here in Europe for a 70-day schedule. We have already finished a week-long shoot here.”

Himesh Reshammiya is now shooting in full swing for his debut film Aap Ka Suroor (which was also the name of a song from his first album). The film is being directed by Prashant Chadha and is said to be inspired from Himesh’s real life love story.

Aap Kaa Suroor is being shot in Stuttgart, Germany and will see Himesh as the lead hero along with debutante Riaa, whose identity has been kept under wraps. You can now see her pic in the gallery!
