More news: Karz
The latest film to be remade is Subhash Ghai’s 1980′s reincarnation drama Karz, with Himesh Reshammiya taking over from Rishi Kapoor.
Contrary to Ghai’s Karz starring Rishi, Tina Munim, Simi Garewal, Pran, Raj Kiran, Durga Khote and Premnath, the new film will be a modern day version.
With Satish Kaushik (of Tere Naam fame) wielding the microphone, the film will be produced by T-Series. Sushmita Sen is rumoured to immortalise Simi Garewal’s role in Kaushik’s film.
Simi considers Kamini’s role as a great opportunity for her to exhibit her versatility as an actor. She affirms that she wasn’t apprehensive about playing someone twice her age. “Its not as if the role was entirely of someone twice my age,” she says. “Kamini is almost a teenager in the beginning; she ages later when Rishi comes back ‘reborn’. So that gave me a lot of scope to show my range as an actor. It is something most actors long for.”
And is she game for remakes? “It’s not like I am in favour or against classics being re-interpreted. I am simply curious to see the remake of Karz and I get the feeling that it will work really well,” she replies.
Simi is optimistic about Reshammiya’s acting expertise and feels that he’ll outdo his first performance in Aap Kaa Surroor). “In the remake, I guess Himesh would play himself — a rock star! And I am sure he’ll be able to pull it off. I would predict his performance in Karz would get even better than his first. The success of Aap Kaa Surroor would have given him confidence and confidence is a key element for a performer.”
Simi is also effusive in her praise for Sushmita Sen.
“Kamini’s role is immensely exciting and very challenging. Any actress with some experience can do it because the character is such that it requires an actress with some body of work and experience behind her.
While Laxmikant-Pyarelal scored the music for the original, Kaushik is believed to be floored by Reshammiya’s novel compositions. Simi shortlists her favourite tracks from the original. “I think all the songs were fabulous. Even today when I go to an award or public function, the band starts playing the theme tune (when Kamini kills her husband). It’s still so popular. It’s difficult to choose one track but I like the picturisation of Ek Hasina Thi the best.”

it will surely work. few days ago i had a thought of Sushmita Sen being aside HR in the film, and here is the news. i think they both will do great togather. Sushmita Sen is capable of doing the double role, first as a young lady and later being little older. it seems that there is loads of work going on for the remake of karz. i hope it releases soon next year. good luck. :x nida

jem this is the last time that i am posting here.
all these times, my parents were unaware of me visiting this site, though my brother knew but he never told me anything. i always used to think that i am cheating my parents by doing something that they may not like and something that they may not approve me to do. this site meant lot to me, and its like being parted from something very dear to me. i appreciate you and sunny lot for making such a site and providing himesh bhai’s fans a great chance for expressing there feelings towards him. he shall be glad to know that two of his greatest fans have done such a great thing for him, and i wish he be aware of your dedication to him soon because you guys deserve it. jem it was really very very very nice to meet you and keep doing the work the way u r doing it.. i promised you that i will buy all his music but don’t know if i will be able to keep my words , as obviously when i will buy so many cd’s my dad will ask me why i am buying such load os cd’s , but i think he may agree but sorry if i never be able to keep my words. also i would like to appreciate all the fans who have been posting here since long time specially Toushtee and all others. die hard HR fanatic, i appreciate you lot for knowing so much regarding himesh bhai’s music. he will be more then happy to know that he has such dedicated fans. never let ur spirit down and keep supporting him. i will always stand for him and my support will be there with him.

@nida..one thing i can assure u is that if you are trying to find one of the freakiest HR fanatics in this planet..then he is right here..and one would have to spend some time with me to understand/know/appreciate this..
