Hello Friends!!

Just a quick post to say that the music for the movie ‘Welcome’ is out now!! Our rockstar has composed 2 songs for the film:

*Insha Allah & (sung by Shaan)
*Kola Laka Varelli (sung by Himeshji)

It’s a must to hear both songs, but especially the 2nd song as it is sung by our rockstar – something that we have all been waiting for a long time ;)

So enjoy the music – remember buy the CD!!

Post your thoughts here!

Let’s Rock!

Sunny & Jem :D

i have heared the kola laka vellari track..it is good..specially the tune of the hook line…it is very catchy..overall the arangment and composition is fine…use od techno stuffs and effects are amazing…u will loose in the song just from the beginning…cz the starting music is quite a thing…and specially the use of tabla..oh god..it is magical…and the singing..jut like always…it is like an addicton..the only bad thing about the song is..it’s lyrics..it is below average…and full of words we have heared million times..but except that..it will surely be a chatbuster…keep rocking himeshji

    1. Kola laka vellari – way before this soundtrax released, I was edgy with the lyrics ‘kola laka vellari’. So I lowered my expectations of this song. But to my surprise, the song is decently good.Again, trademark sufi HR stamp written all over it. The beats are inspired and are sorta mixture of ‘ahista ahista-title trax’ and ‘tadap tadap-darling’, and the tune of the words in lower-octave ‘tuhje yaad karke, mujhe chain aave, mere jaaniya ve’ is inspired by ‘tum jho aaye rubaru, zakhmi yeh dil ho gaya’ from tanha tanha-fear. This song’s bset part is right near the end when the beats stop and become unplugged and HR sings ‘tujhe yaad karke…..’ the lower-octave voice sounds so plesantly soothing and creates a vibe….and watch how the beats kick in 4-6 times..superb and give great sike..and the song picks up again and HR croons ‘kola laka vellari’ after which the song ends.
I must say that although the words ‘kola laka vellari’ luckily fit into the wjole song, a careless lyricist who has run outta words had almost ruined, white washed and doomed a nice composition. What is this ‘kola laka vellari’? Is is a phrase from the south! Himeshji should work with different lyricists to have variety in wordings, may be give a chance again to sudhakar sharma. If there is anything that makes this song short of a chartbuster or if this song takes critism is only because of the lyrics!

    2. Insha allah – it lacks all those elements that made me a HR-fan, very ordinary, average and usual song that comes and goes by..HR tries to go the racy way..perhaps something on the lines of dil lagayeenge-SLBB..but without any effect..the less i say the better it is

@jem…yep…although this song can be categorized with the innumerous sufi-rock HR songs in the past, it still has its own distinct place…i would term this one as a ’soulful melody’ and ‘dil se gaya va gana’…if raaga based and sufi songs is HR’s strength then perhaps he should just stick with it…i guez that ‘kola laka vellari’ may be a comedy word used in the film but even i would like to know what it really means…inshah allah on repeat hears sounds just ok…

I like InshaAllah, its quite a different song. Not like the ordinary music we are used from Himeshji… And Himeshji did not sing in that song, it’s Krishnas voice (apart from Shaans and Akruti Kakkars).

thanx for the info… Himeshji’s name is missing on the CD-Cover… It only says Krishna, Shaan, Akruti Kakkar.
