News: A Love Iishsstory!
Reshammiya will be staying in Amboli village to learn the tapori dialect
Himesh Reshammiya’s into method acting. Yes, you read that right.
The actor who plays a tapori in John Mathew’s A Love Iiisshtory has planned to get into the skin of his character and will stay in a village and mingle with the crowd there to get his act right.
Boley to, role hai!
It is believed that Himesh plans to stay and interact with the people of Amboli village in Mumbai where he shoots for the film.
When we asked him about his efforts to learn the boli, Himesh says, ‘ A Love Iiisshtory is a musical, a love story of a tapori and a super-rich businesswoman. The reason I’m staying with the locals is because I want to do full justice to the role.”
Sahi bola kya, bhidu?
A source close to Himesh reveals that he’s been speaking and rehearsing the tapori dialect for over a month. “It’s a really colourful character. Himesh wants to try and stay as true as possible to his brief.
This is the first time he’s playing a tapori and he wanted to make sure he came across as really convincing. Since he’s playing several different roles in his forthcoming projects, Himesh wanted to make sure each one of them stood out from the other.
Also Himesh hasn’t really spoken in this kind of dialect before, so getting the pronounciation and the tone of certain words right is very important.”
Main nahin darta
Himesh doesn’t fear comparisons with actors like Sanjay Dutt and Aamir Khan who’ve played tapori characters in Munnabhai and Ghulam, “Sanju baba and Aamir were fantastic and I will try my best to live up to the audience’s expectations,” he concludes.
Niharika Singh plays the rich businesswoman while Himesh plays the tapori.
