“Response to Karzzzz has been overwhelming” – Himesh Reshammiya
Much awaited music for Karzzzz has just hit the stands and Himesh Reshammiya is eagerly awaiting response for his 19 songs album. In fact before the music release, Himesh even visited Shrinathji temple to seek blessings from his holy God. Anxious about his return to celluloid after more than a year, Himesh arrives again in the triple role of an actor, composer and singer with Karzzzz, the publicity of which has started on top gear from Day 1 itself.
“By the grace of God, the response on the promos and the songs has been overwhelming to say the least. We have already unleashed as many as three numbers – ‘Lut Jaon’, ‘Tandoori Nights’ and ‘Hari Om’ – in a week’s time itself, something which has been unprecedented since the norm is to space out the release of two tracks. However, the entire team of Karzzzz is supremely confident about both movie as well as the music of Karzzzz due to which we have plenty to offer to our audience in weeks to come”, says Himesh from Udaipur where he is shooting at Devigarh Palace for Pooja Bhatt’s Kajrare.
Talking about his visit to Shrinathji temple, Himesh divulges, “Shrinathji are my Holy God and I visit this temple once every 4 months. It is my good fortune that I took blessings from my Lord on the auspicious occasion of the music release of my album. It is only going to get more and more hectic as the release date comes nearer.”
With 17th October being announced as the release date for the film, there are exactly 50 days more to go. “And you would see a lot happening in due course of time”, adds a source from T-Series, “There is so much software waiting to be exposed to the audience in time to come. We have combined some key scenes and dialogues in the song promos of Karzzzz; an attempt which has been widely appreciated. It has managed to arouse quite some curiosity around the project which is going to be the biggest this season. Now with six more songs to go, and the highlight track ‘Ek Kaseena Thi’ being the biggest of all, it is going to be Karzzzz wave all the way this season.”
A T-Series production which is directed by Satish Kaushik, Karzzzz comes with an interesting tagline of ‘Vengeance Is Back’, hence justifying the theme of the film. Marking the debut of Shweta Kumar as the leading lady opposite Himesh Reshammiya, this remake of Subhash Ghai namesake film also stars Urmila Matondkar, Danny Denzongpa, Gulshan Grover and Dino Morea.

- HR…I accept this reason because the songs just speak for themselves and what is good cannot be critisized…you have hit the nail on the head…i am so excited and overwhelmed with this album and getting a kudos feeling after quite a long time…i think that the wait was worth it as the songs have somehow lived to the hype,buzz n expectations…HR…i am telling you that even I don’t demand 12 albums a year…especially after you had a mixed bag from mid-year onwards…but if you pick selective projects outside your camp and give quality music…you are unstoppable…your fans will lap up those albums…
…friends, friends, friends…get one thing very very clear…it is absolutely criminal of us if we don’t support or ignore HR’s indian classical albums like kuch meetha hojaye,banaras,ahista ahista and murder his raaga talent/potential…mind you…these are a hatrick of albums which is more than enough to shatter anyone’s confidence…when HR was asked why he didn’t compose such albums anymore…he said that these albums were ignored and when so much is at stake he has to deliver hits rather than critical acclaims…then he decided to follow todays trend and baki ka music gaya tel lagaane…and that is what happened…now he somehow got the confodence to create such tunes in karzzzz after Namaste London was eventually accepted after an ititial hiccup…agreed HR is original one irritating thing with HR is that he repeats himself till death…he is an expert of churning out songs of one style…pre-aba…he had that typical-indian melody style and post-aba a typical sufi-rock…hope that he keeps on mixing it all up…just like ajantha mendis who completely destroyed india…
…so its simple…support a particular style…that is a signal to HR to churn similar kind of songs…i must say that pre-ABA…i have loved all styles of HR but post-ABA…though I don’t mind HR’s sufi-rock style, I must admit that it gets on my nerves sometimes after overkill and repetition…but i can say that i also love this new HR avatar of “indian classical raaga” that he is slowly patenting…
