News on Himeshji’s forthcoming film: Ishk Unplugged!
India: Himesh Reshammiya is now looking for Ishk Unplugged! The composer-singer-turned-actor will announce his next venture that he describes “as a cute love story” on the day Karzzzz releases: October 17.
Though he’s busy with the release of Satish Kaushik’s remake starring him along with Urmila Matondkar and newbie Shweta Kumar, Himesh has already begun work on his next.
Lucky day
Says Himesh, “It’s true that I want to launch my new movie on October 17 as astrologically it is a lucky date for me. The title is Ishk Unplugged and it will be directed by Swapna Joshi a known television director.”
He adds, “The script by Subrat Sinha is the finest love story I’ve heard in recent times. It explores the process of falling in love in a fresh, cute and contemporary format.”
Himesh has not yet ascertained who will produce it as the modalities are being worked upon. The cast also has also to be finalised and whether the leading girl will be known or a new face has not yet been decided.
Rocking music
“But I am keen to begin work on the music soon as it is a love story which will give scope for some fresh music,” he adds.
Himesh will also be seen doing romantic roles in Mudh Mudh Ke Na Dekh Mudh Mudh Ke, Kajra Re and A Love Issshtory besides the comic caper Gujju Bhai.

I think it will be a short promo of this new film..Ishq Unplugged!i want a new face here also..because HR has already created a brand..that is brand himesh..it launch new actresses like dipika padukone..hansika motwani..shewta kumar..niharika singh..and many more..it launches new kind of music trends..patch up any kind of music with rock..it launches a special tag..himesh reshammiya..on everything..now..i hope to see a new..fresh..charming…and most importantly talented face for this love story..and also hoping great music as always..but i think it might not be HR’s next release after karzzzz..anyway..we are always with you himesh ji..all the best..jai mata di.. waao i really like the title “ishk unplugged”
so himeshji now we are also expecting veery fresh music from original himesh reshammiya. i always noticed that most often himesh and A R rehman’s music is based on classical raga , indian melody and having a lot of sufism in it , but then i guess himesh rarely had films in which he could compose with fresh instruments. when we see his filmography there are few movies which were based on modern love stories . like we have karzzzz music but it is not a commercial film like oso . its a classic type. so definitely music we had in ‘gbbb’ and ‘fool and final’ which young generation enjoy a lot, will not apt for thrillers like karzzzz. so himesh we are ready to wait again till then karzzzz, kajraare, m2kndm2k, hhey gujju, a love iishhtory will rock.

…when HR said that he will only do 3 films in an year I was sad…but things change with time…and now he has an ever-growing number of films in his kitty…and there was always a positive thing with this decision since HR would b motivated to give his best music for the opening prospects of his films…but 3 films was way tooooo less…but now he has quite a handful which means that the wait will be reduced and quality music will be the outcome…and ofcourse to see HR on the big screen too…perhaps the wait is worth it…though i must say that i miss the old fashioned HR songs sung by Sonu Nigam,KK,Shaan,Kunal Kanjawala…its a typical brand of songs… die hard HR fanatic
