It seems that Himesh Reshammiya is indeed standing on the shoulders of giants and has a new fan in none less than Rishi Kapoor!

For the latter is said to have heard the new songs by Himesh for Karzzz (which incidentally has Himesh not singing in his nasal trademark style).

Himesh Reshammiya-starrer Mudh Mudh Ke Na Dekh Mudh Mudh Ke has gone over-budget by about Rs 3 crore. According to our source, Himesh plays a rich man and so the film’s producers Aditya Naryan Singh and Shri Ashtavinayak wanted a sprawling house. But, they could not find one.

Our source said, “The filmmakers wanted a particular house that belongs to the character played by Himesh. But, since all available bungalows fell short of their requirements they started hunting for a spacious floor to erect an opulent bungalow set. They couldn’t wait any longer as Himesh had limited time to shoot. The film’s producers finally had to make a huge set of a bungalow on an open ground at Film City.”

Himesh Reshammiya adds, “Yes, I have been told about this and I can only thank my fans for continuing to love my work over the years. With the songs of Karzzzz playing in clubs and ‘Tandoori Nights’ being organised, the DJs and restaurant owners are only helping popularise my songs further.”

If the figures are to be believed then just after two weeks of its release the music of Himesh Reshammiya’s Karzzzz is topping musical charts in the country.

The makers of the recently released Rock On!! feel that there is something odd about their soundtrack’s mysterious descent from the charts.

Everybody’s happy?

A source reveals, “The music director trio of Rock On!! as well as producers Farhan Akhtar and Ritesh Sidhwani feel that there is a reason why their music is being pulled down. Overall, the music of Rock On!! was on the No 1 spot and after the film got rave reviews, the music sales picked up. So why has it slipped in the charts? The team apparently feels the rival music companies are out to malign their hit product.”

India: Himesh Reshammiya is now looking for Ishk Unplugged! The composer-singer-turned-actor will announce his next venture that he describes “as a cute love story” on the day Karzzzz releases: October 17.

Though he’s busy with the release of Satish Kaushik’s remake starring him along with Urmila Matondkar and newbie Shweta Kumar, Himesh has already begun work on his next.
