Contrary to earlier reports, Studio 18’s Hey Gujju has not been shelved.

On March 15, the film will go on the floors but this time with a different title - Tere Bina Jiya Nahin Jaye. Also the film’s earlier lead actress Shruti Agrawal and director Satish Kaushik are no longer part of the film.The script of the film has been changed to a large extent and it is not based on the life of a Gujarati man.The filmmakers are looking for a new lead actress to replace Shruti.

Far off in Palanpur where Himesh Reshammiya is shooting for John Mathew’s A New Love Issshtory the musician-actor can’t believe what he has heard.

At a press conference on Thursday, Aamir Khan went out of his way to praise Himesh, “So much so that wherever and whenever I see a topi, I think of Himesh,” said Aamir.

Brief Background of the Song

This song has been originally composed by Laxmikant - Pyarelal as it was part of Subhash Ghai’s Karz. The song which has been touted as the theme tune of the film, plays a central part in weaving the story of Ravi Verma & Kamini together at the climax of the film.

While re-making the film, Himeshji & Subhash Ghai felt that they had to keep the song in their film as it was the soul of Karz. Himeshji re-vamped the song in his own unique style and as the song had been composed in the middle - octave, the audience heard another singing style from Himeshji as he is known for singing in the higher - octave.

The song has been picturised on Monty & Tina who re-tell the famous love story of Ravi & Kamini in front of an audience which features Kabira (Danny), Kamini (Urmila). In Himeshji’s Karzzzz the song holds a major twist to the film.
