News on Radio – Release Date announced!
Radio Mirchi 98.3 FM announced its association with the forthcoming movie ‘Radio’ featuring singer-actor Himesh Reshammiya in Mumbai today. As part of the alliance, Prashant Panday, CEO, Radio Mirchi and Himesh Reshammiya unveiled an exclusive collection of songs from the movie for Mirchi’s listeners.
Joining the league were the cast and crew of the film – Sonal Sehgal, Shehnaz Treasurywala and Director Isshaan Trivedi. Listeners will get to hear Himesh’s new Voice with songs like ‘Mann ka Radio’, ‘Koi na Koi Chahiye’, ‘Shaam ho Chali Hai’, ‘Zindagi Jaise Ek Radio’, ‘Jaan-e-Mann’, ‘Teri Meri Dosti ka Aasmaan’, ‘Piya Laadu’, ‘ Daamaadji’ only on the hottest radio station.
A modern day love story, the movie has ‘Radio Mirchi’ as an integral part of the film in which Himesh plays the role of Vivaan Shah, a Radio Mirchi RJ.
Delighted about the partnership, Prashant Panday, CEO, Radio Mirchi said “Radio Mirchi has always had a very close association with Bollywood and has always supported movies with unique contests and interviews with the biggest stars. This association with Radio takes our integration with a movie to next level and is a one of a kind opportunity for Radio Mirchi to be a part of the movie’s story. We wish Himesh all the luck with this project and are confident that Radio will be a big hit.”
Enthused about the tie-up, Himesh Reshammiya said, “Radio Mirchi is the No.1 network in the country. It was the natural choice for us to associate with for a film based on a radio station. Another big advantage I had was the opportunity to interact with the best RJ’s in the country, to learn from them, and thus bring in a lot of realism to the role.”
Radio is slated to release on 11th December 2009 worldwide.

Finally 1 date is announced!!! I’m soooooooooooooo excited! I’m just listening to Radio tracks only!!! They’re awesome! & if the movie is gonna release in December then music release will take place in another week or two!!!

To all Reshammiyans :
Please don’t assume 10th Sep to be the music release of Radio. Because if that was to happen promos would have been started showing on TV. And more importantly I can’t believe that there will be such a long gap of 3 months between the music release and the movie release. It has not happened till date that film promotion has taken more than 2 months. Maybe HR proves me wrong and creates yet another history by doing so.
Well I still haven’t heard any song of Radio. Just heard Himeshji singing the first line of “Zindagi hai jaise ek radio, alag alag dhun sunati” hai in his interview with Times Now yesterday. Jem you have heard this song can you describe this it and which are your personal favourites ? Waiting for the music release now. Keep up the stunning work Jem to keep us Connected. Thanks !

I believe the promotion of RADIO will be quite aggressive despite that it is a small budget movie… Come on, nearly 3 months!! Himeshji surely is preparing a surprise for his fans in this movie. Even KAMINEY has had only 2 months of promotion. Praks

the thing which is confusing me is that if radio is releasing on 11th dec then how can its music release so early as on 10th sep which means 3 months before the release of the film…..at most the music release of any film takes place 1 or 1 1/2 months before its release….according 2 this the music release could be during late october or early november……if we get the songs so early thats not a problem, infact its great for all of us who’ve waited so long especially for those who don’t have access to radio mirchi and have not heard the songs….but this is a doubtful thing to happen….

About Music Release: I had initially heard the date 10th September but am now not sure either….it’s best to wait, the date will have to be released to us soon as we now know the release date of the movie. We will let you all know the correct music release date

@Jem I like to share a good news about Himesh new film Radio. Though the film is going to release on 11 DEC but still the Banners and posters of radio movie can be Easily Found in some of the Famous Ganesh Mandels like Lal Baugh Raja and Tulsi Wadi (Mumbai Central). The Banner looks Stunning Which Says RADIO ” LOVE ON AIR”. Belive me Himesh is looking so good in the banner that even I was not able to recognize him.
You are the first person to whom I have given this news.
Also tomorrow I am going to see LAL BAUGH RAJA where himesh is going to come and present the fisrt music CD of Radio to the lord Ganesh. Wish me best of luck beacuse to see Lal Baugh Raja you need to Stand for 5 to 6 hours in Que. I hope I get a Chance to see Himesh again.

the songs are very beautiful in this film. but still there are many points that can be pointed out? what is the meaning of putting all those foreign girls in the video of ‘mann ka radio’. and people would find the part of shreya ghosal in the song ‘tere mere..’ beautiful while himesh’s part is unwanted there. the rest, all the best and hope himes can produce a good actor out of him. da lonely walker
