Interview: Subrat Sinha (Lyricist: Radio)

Published by Jem under Radio: Love On AIR

‘Mann Ka Radio Bajne De Zara’ has managed to catch everyone’s attention. The man behind the lyrics of this popular song is none other than Subrat Sinha. From being a regular graduate who spent two years only to figure out what he wanted to do in life, he has come a long way.

Starting off as an assistant to film-maker Imtiaz Ali, Subrat has penned scripts, dialogues, and lyrics, besides bagging an award for the title track of the popular TV show Yeh Meri Life Hai. Having contributed lyrics for movies like Rules, Pyar ka Superhit Formula and Socha Na Tha, Subrat is known to have developed his own style, which is evident in Radio as well.

News: World Tour Update

Published by Jem under Radio: Love On AIR

Himesh Reshammiya has been getting many offers to do shows worldwide because of his chart-buster song Mann Ka Radio which focuses his new voice.

For his new shows he will be performing in both his voices. Apart from singing 50 hits in his nasal voice and the new songs from Radio, he will also be singing his old musical hits from various films that he had composed for. Himesh says, “It’s great that Mann Ka Radio is my 500th song, but my journey has just begun. Himeshji: Interview!

Published by Jem under Radio: Love On AIR

Even after 15 successful years as composer, singer and actor, Himesh Reshammiya feels that he has a long way to go
Radio is your third film as actor-singer and composer. The publicity campaign started three months before the release date. Is this strategic?

It is. A 90-day campaign is needed for a film and a music score like Radio. Six years earlier, we did the same for Tere Naam. Music with depth needs time to grow on the audience. Mann ka radio is like an anthem because it picked up instantly. But the other songs needed time to grow. Jaaneman is the current favourite. I want to state categorically that Radio is one of my very best scores. It is not music that should be heard in a hurry and forgotten. Like Tere Naam had some instant hits and some songs that needed time to grow on the listener.

Himesh Reshammiya to sing & compose for Salman Khan..?

Published by sunny under HR Articles, HR Interviews, HR News

salman-himesh Himesh Reshammiya, who refused AR Rahman’s offer to sing for him, has now decided to make an exception to his golden rule only for Salman Khan.

“Anything for Salmanbhai! He just has to say it and I’ll do it,” says Himesh emotionally. According to reliable sources, Himesh will be composing and singing for Salman in the sequel to Wanted titled Most Wanted.

For the last two years, Himesh has stuck by his guns to create music only for himself. Breaking his own rule for Salman is a measure of Himesh’s restored love for the star who mentored and promoted him and then fell out with him.

Meanwhile, Himesh has pledged to show his new film Radio to Salmanbhai before anyone else. “I’m dubbing for Radio right now. As soon as I’m done, I want him to see it.” The special screening is likely to be held on November 20.

Himesh now chooses to conveniently forget all past differences with Salman. “After doing 11 hits together, Salmanbhai and I didn’t work together because I got busy with my acting assignments. He has always loved me like a kid brother.” Continue Reading »
