MUMBAI: BIG 92.7 FM’s Mumbai Station had a new jock for the day and it was none other than RJ Vivaan aka Himesh Reshammiya. Himesh who started the his day as a jock with the breakfast show with RJ Meera and Vrajesh, held the entire city by their ears as he took them on an aural joyride, with interesting trivia and singing which ensured superlative entertainment.

Although married, Sonal has never felt any stumbling block in the industry due to her married status. Himesh Reshammiya is planning a huge concert tour for the promotion of his upcoming release Radio. Titled Mann ka Radio – the tour will be spread across the country, and abroad as well.
This one will be much bigger than his concert for his first film Aap Ka Suroor. The actor-singer will perform not just from Radio, but some of his old hits as well. This will also be the first time Himesh will sing both in his original voice and his new singing voice from Radio.

Paresh Rawal took up a 20-minute cameo in Radio and refused to take money from his Gujarati colleagues Himesh Reshaamiya and Paresh Rawal
The producers of Radio and Himesh Reshammiya wanted Paresh Rawal for a cameo so badly that they were willing to delete the cameo from the script if Paresh refused. But thankfully, they didn’t have any scrapping to do as Paresh agreed and refused any sort of remuneration too.

Once on the island, one gets to Mango Villa, where Himesh Reshammiya is wrapping up the last day’s shoot for Radio, a December release, and one on which a lot is at stake. He is warm, insisting on a cold drink as a welcome gesture. We decline, but move on to his filmography, a near-perfect streak, had Karz not marred it so badly. “Radio is merely six crores yaar! We’ve already recovered our money with satellite, video and audio rights. The rest, which will emerge from theatrical proceeds, is gravy for the producers, It’s a hit,” says he, “I am entirely confident of that.”

Shenaz Treasuryvala, the pretty bubbly girl is playing the character of Shanaya in Ravi Agrawal’s forthcoming film RADIO. Pitted against Himesh Reshammiya as an RJ in a radio station, Shenaz had a blast during the shoot of this film. Earlier too, she was seen in ISHQ VISHK and has been a popular VJ on MTV for long time.

The music of Himesh Reshammiya’s new film Radio has been largely appreciated. Radio, Kajraare, Ishq Unplugged and A New Love Ishtory are unique, he says. To add, Reshammiya is taking all the steps to ensure nothing goes the ‘Karzzzz’ way – be it marketing, promotions or the films release.
If you thought he was just a singer-composer-actor, think again – the man speaks business, marketing strategies with as much ease as he dabbles with different tunes.
Let’s talk about the new sound… you seem to have consciously changed your sound in Radio, what made you do that? It is not only about the sound, but the look and the sensibilities of this film were entirely opposite of what I have done earlier. This is not the first time that I have done something new. Every two years I have been re-inventing myself completely.

When Himesh & Salman came together on Dus Ka Dum recently, the two talked about past events nostalgically. Salman recalled how Himesh is so passionate about his craft that he has woken him up in the middle of the night to discuss a song, or his immense talent that he can compose a song on the spur of the moment. Himesh even gave a live demo of it. It happens only on 10 Ka Dum.
