“My remuneration of Radio is Mumbai territory & 50% of all profits” – Himesh
Profit for all, loss for none
This time around, Himesh Reshammiya ‘s strategy is quite clear. Unlike Karzzzz where high price of the film resulted in a flop tag being associated with inside the opening weekend itself, Radio comes with one line vision of ‘Profit for all and loss for none. “We don’t want to get into a situation where just a single person earns”, says Himesh who, along with the makers of Radio, has formulated a model where everyone in the value chain earns well, “In case of Karzzzz, only Bhushan Kumar earned but BIG Pictures lost. I want a different scenario for Radio. This is why the film has been sold at the kind of price which would be easy to recover and also result in profits to be earned.”

On Monday morning, Himesh Reshammiya and others associated with Radio were in for a surprise. They woke up with a news break which declared that the running length of Radio was 3 hours. In the times when shorter movies are ruling the roost and anything above 2.5 hours is considered to be nothing less than sacrilege, it was but natural that a news item like this was a cause for worry. More so because it had no truth to it.

Kahe Rahi Awaraagiye…Koi Na Koi Chahe…

Hello Reshammiyans >:D<
Thanks to all of you who have voted for this week's Song of the Week! It is none other than "Koi Na Koi Chahe" - the 4th most popular song from Himeshji's next film "Radio: Love on Air"!
Background of the Song
A duet sung by Himeshji & Shreya Ghosal, “Koi Na Koi Chahe” is very unique and innovative composition by Himeshji. It has been sung in his middle-octave range & it even features Shreya singing in a range slightly lower than she has done before – this has helped to make the combination just perfect. A song that talks about the longing-ness of a loved-one “Koi Na Koi Chahe” takes the listener through a journey of lonliness, pain and love.
The promo has been picturised on Himeshji, Shenaz & Sonal. It deals with the “incompatibility” issue and at the end shows Himeshji saying that “every problem has a solution”.

Himesh Reshammiya loves beating his son to PS3 games while discussing their week on Sundays…
• A cup of black coffee… is a must to begin my Sunday mornings. This is usually followed by cornflakes with cold milk.
• A leisurely bath… is then followed by my regular prayers.
• My hobby… is my profession. So composing a song over a Sunday doesn’t feel like work. In fact, some of my best songs have been composed on Sundays. Point of fact, Mann ka Radio (my 500th composition) was also composed on a Sunday. I was humming the tune all day, while chilling with my friend and lyricist Subrat. Based on the tune, Subrat fitted words to go along with it. In the evening I called my musicians over to jam and we recorded the song the very next day.
