Himesh Reshammiya grows as an actor!
Himesh Reshammiya’s Radio is already making profits, but our music composer-turned-singer-turned-actor has more reasons to rejoice.
The multi-talented star is acknowledging the fact that he is growing with each film. This time around, besides getting lauded for his music, Himesh is also winning laurels for his acting.
Himesh, is now looking forward to his next step towards growth — Pooja Bhatt’s Kajraare, John Matthew Mathan’s New Love Ishtory and Swapna Joshi’s Ishk Unplugged.
When asked about his future projects Himesh says, “Pooja is presenting me like never before in Kajraare and John Matthew is giving me a completely new image in the role of a light-hearted tapori while in Ishk Unplugged, Swapna Joshi has given me an image which explores my comic timing. I am glad that I have such diverse characters to play so that I can grow each day thanks to my films. And what’s more? It’s fun working with them!”
Talking about the way his career is shaping, Himesh says, “Radio was a target audience film and I want to keep experimenting with target-audience based films as well as films which have universal appeal.”

wtf man….radio is damn good….100 times more than my expectations….i just hate this world man n the ppl….some ppl just dnt wanna change with tym….if a man has given this heart n soul to his work….ppl dnt see that…they’ll just listen to biased n fake critics….dnt get me wrong…im not saying all this because i felt himesh has work hard….if u put akshay or shahrukh in this movie….i dnt think theres any freakin person on this planet who would write this movie off….but this is how things go….this is gonna happen again n again….i cant take it anymore…im just feeling very sad at this point of time…cant control my emotions…..even if ppl were excited about this film now they’ll just believe these so called critics n say its another flop by HR without even caring to watch the film….i cnt understand how d film gets less than 4 starts….i hav many things to say but this is not d right place….i cnt use the exact words over here for those bloody critics…
Yar plz RADIO ka review post kro jo neutral ho. Taran k mutabiq PAA goes slow but RADIO goes dull.
mindblowing film but watched in 3rd class piracy. mazzaa kharab to maheen hua par its ok according to print of movie. but but but but RaDiO Is superb film. much better then karzzzzzzz
Himesh i hav watched ur movie and its superb,fantastic mind blowing nd outstnding. Your acting was superb nd in d whole movie i was just watching u only.the way u have improved ur acting heads off to you.in d movie wen u were throwing plates dat scene i liked d most. HR ROCKS. Friends i don’t know when i’ll get the chance to see this movie in Mauritius. Can’t say anything now for i have not watch the movie till now but i’m sure that it will be beyond expectation. Hey does HR dance in this movie?. Reply please.

i went to watch radio again 2day with some of my frndz but d show was cancelled as there was no one except us…its such a shame yaar that a film like radio that deserves all the applause is getting such a treatment….
wen it comes to reviewing radio….in short i would say it is a sweet n simple film…i liked the way it was made n presented….it was certainly a youthful film…some ppl didnt like the idea of dividing the film in chapters…but i actually liked it…that was quite innovative….again it didnt require any such background music cause most of the times songs of the movie were playing in the background as they were relatable with d situations n unlike karzzzz they were not at all disrupting the flow of the film instead were taking the movie forward….overall it was a logical, light hearted n youthful film……my rating- 4/5
now d reasons for this film not clicking at the box office are simple-
1. the critics spoiled the party big time
2. this was completely a multiplex youth film n most ppl in that category r not big fans of HR’s acting
3. we were earlier saying that radio releasing b4 other HR films was a gud thing…well it earned them…but had himesh proven himself better in his earlier films n had earned the confidence of the audience then ppl might have gone n seen this film despite reviews
4. competition with paa also cost them…most families went on to see paa….opening of paa wasnt that gr8 but with good reviews everywhere there business picked up from saturday….
these were some major reasons according to me which came between radio’s success….
alright heres the review…..
when you go into a HR film you cant expect performances like amitabh or ajay devgan…..there were only 20 of us in the whole theater….the response was very bad compared to karzz when you had decent crowd…
negatives:the film is divided into chapters…when shanaya is introduced in the film there is no mention how she becomes friend of pooja who wants her to deliver flowers….not to mention her clown image…why??…vivan solving others problems….there is only few of them which goes with the wrong impression of the film…too many songs that too in bits and pieces really irritates you….when vivan finally comes to shanaya…what happened to pooja??…how does he convince her although she is ready to rethink about the divorce….the main problem is at the end you just dont know where all the characters will end…..
positives:its actually HRs acting that one has to appreciate….huge improvement from his other films….the comic scene when he is repairing dish antenna is awesome…HR has untapped talent in this dept…..the way he connects with the emotion scenes is brilliant…this is his strong point…as observed in his music videos….but normal scenes he looks he is over acting..too many unwanted expressions…the music and the songs…there in no debate over this nor there will ever be…his best work till date…
all in all its ishans direction that puts the film off….
overall film-**(two out of 5 stars)

for me HR is no1, so dissapointed that its not released in US.
Radio has recvd 65 % opening as per zoom . and is a cerified hit.

At 3:00 O’clock in morning, I wish to say you CONGRATULATIONS! Coz I wanna see you happy for what you had done in the movie. Really good performance, I dont know Y critics have given u 1and a half star, may be they are critics that’s Y.
But I tell you from the core of my heart that you really had performed.
C I am ur good fan so I wont let you fly with all goodies, I tell you u missed at one spot in the movie and lost the expression, that was a dialogue “YE CONFUSION TABHI KHATUM HOGA ~ JAB MERI KAHANI KHATUM HOGI” this is the sentence where you could have done wonders, for this I would like to refer movie ANAND from Rajesh Khanna, and review yours also and try to introduce a style of touching the hearts.
Not going very long but tell you u please see more of your movie time and again and try to find out more ways you could have performed so that next time you do more better then this, coz there is always a scope of being better.
Now its a happy morning and wish you happy days ahead.

i don’t see 60% opening news anywhere in zoom or elsewhere!
maine radio film first day dekhi thi main ye dekh kar bahut dusappointed hua tha ki radio film ko dekhne sirf 4 log hi aaye the.ye sabb paa film ki wajah se hua hai.agar paa radio ke saath release nahi hoti toh ye surely hit hoti.taran adarsh ne film love aaj kal ko 4/5 diye the jabki ye film mujhe saal ki sabse bakwaas film lagi thi.issi tarah taran adarsh ne blue ko badiya reviews diya tha.mujhe samajh mein nahi aata ye critics kis tarah review karte hai.radio film mujhe himesh ji ki abb tak ki sabse acchi film lagi hain.mujhe toh ek minute ke liye nahi laga ki himesh ji natural acting nahi kar rahe hai.himesh ji ne apni acting mein bahut improvement kiya hai.jabb himesh ji aakhri chapter mein shanaya ko purpose karte hue jo song gaate hai.woh song bahut accha tha pata nahi himesh ji ne uss song ko film mein use kyo nahi kiya.shamm ho chali bhi nahi tha film mein…ok himesh bye you are natural actor now.bhale hi film chale ya naa chale himesh ji ne apni acting mein toh improvement kar hi liya hai…………..

i watched it yesterday at home on dvd,i like it but some problem,that deep explain.but simply i can say,i love it.its very simple n famliy film.aaj kal aisi film bnti e ni jo family ke sath dekhi jaey,is liye main hr ke siwa kisi ki movie ni dekhti,i appericiate himesh ji acting,he really improved,love it,and want to see movie again n again.but jo movie maine dekhi,cinema se record thi n kafi cuti v thi,i was the first who buy n watch it in our small city,i m pakistani

I saw radio more then 5 times..not in theatre.. Bcoz i am in russia or russia me bollywood movie hall me nahi lagti..maine moviesmobile.net se radio download ki apne mobile pe or mobile me hi maine akele me jake movie dekhi..puri movie me himesh ji in serious mood..

Radio track is very listenable..nice melodies.. Allah bhagvan tumko salamat rakhe himesh ji or unke chahne valo ko..

one erason film flops is due to piracy. privacy of other actor or singer is one thing but doing this to HR when he needs us at theater is a spit on our rockstar and us the true HR fans!
radio is flop acording to collection report till dec 07, but its still a hit cos music of RADIO recovered the entire 6 crores movie budget so nobody loses in this film.
U HR fans did not go to theater so the opening of RADIO till today is around 20%.
