Hello Reshammiyans 
A big thank you to all of you who voted for our special Song of the week based on Himeshji's last release "Radio ~ Love on AIR". Piya Jaise Ladoo is the last song to be voted for as the 8th most popular song from Radio. Zindagi Jaise Ek Radio is the only song that didn't make it into the top 8 - but we all know how much we love this song, right guys? 
As we are gearing up for Himeshji's next releases (Kajraare or Ishq Unplugged or....), Song of the Week will temporarily close to make way for Himeshji's next music releases & then Song of the Week will be back - with a Vengence
Background of the Song
Piya Jaise Ladoo is a full-on classical melody given by Himeshji. It is a beautiful duet sung by Himeshji & Rekha Bharadwaj. I remember reading an interview of Rekhaji’s a while ago where she expressed her desire to sing for Himeshji. The Shehnai piece at the beginning of the song makes one think it is based on a wedding, but the promo inidicates otherwise & shows the relationship of Vivaan & Pooja and the times they have spent together.

if u listen carefully, u will realise that the sarangi melody in the song is the same as Himesh’s earlier song in Kuch Meetha Ho Gaye.

also lastnight ,i watched mUSIC KA MAHA MUQABLA, HR’s team was down in the near last minute and was about the lose the contest but than HR sang and rocked the crowd and HR beat SHAAN and his team and won the contest.
wow, HR is real rockstar and best of all the judges, HR should have demanded to be the maha judge of the show yaar cos after all he is far superior than all the other judges!

Let’s see the response from others…as said Song of the Week is temporarily closed to make way for Himeshji’s next films & also Music Ka Maha Muqqabla. Well do remember jem that there is no harm in starting it as kajraare music comes in feb in case the music of some other film comes now u may suspend it. REMEMBER THE MUSIC OF THE FILM ROCKED THE CHARTS IN TAMIL . ALSO plz rem. that there is a hindi version also of the film and the songs (which are very good).HENCE THERE SHLD BE NO REASON NOT TO HAV THE POLL.

`Those who feel I am not an actor need to have patience’
Radio’ may have garnered mixed reviews but H I M ESH RESHAMM IYA is cocksure of getting a hit out of his next release, Kajraare’, and about achieving success as an actor someday soon. Over to Reshammiya on films and beyond
“I am already well-known as a singer and music director. I have more than 500 songs to my credit. And believe me, it took me some time to get this recognition. Now I believe that talent finally does get due recognition. I am considered as a hero too by my fans. As you know, it took me more than 100 songs, sung in varied ways, to get recognition as a brilliant singer. So how can I get recognition as an actor so soon? I have just four films to my credit and I will have to do at least half the number of songs which brought me to great heights.
I do not create an aura about myself through undue publicity. I believe in keeping a low profile. Also because I am a Gujarati, it does matter a lot.
My folks feel that I am an expert in both singing and acting. I will surely gain recognition as an actor some day. I am not in a tearing hurry. My fan following is among the youth who are in their early 20s. I get huge fan mails from these people.
Let me tell you about a boy named Ali who is mentally challenged and lives in Chicago. He loves to hear my songs. His father writes to me stating, “Himesh, my son starts to move around as soon as he hears your songs.” I have especially gone to Chicago to meet them and it was heartwarming to see the parents feel happy as Ali readily listens to their requests, eats his food and also does other jobs as long as my songs are played to him. I was so touched that tears rolled down my cheeks.
Actually, I fought for the right things in the music reality show `Sa Re Ga Ma Pa’. By seeing me on television, people feel that I am arrogant and self obsessed. But it’s not so. In fact, fighting for the rights of others is not a wrong thing. My voice and acting calibre are blessings given to me by the Almighty. I respect whatever capabilities I have. People will have to change their opinion today or tomorrow about me as I am a simpleton who believes in working hard to achieve success.
My next release, `Kajraare’, will be a sure hit. The film has Pooja Bhatt as the director and Mahesh Bhatt’s production house is producing it. All their films have been hits music-wise.
For `Radio’, I have managed to make the Rs 6 crore that was spent on the film. So whatever financial benefits I am getting from the theatres is like a bonus. Moreover, who can say what is a hit or a flop? When I say I have got back the money I have invested in `Radio’, my film is a hit. 162 critics across the country have written positive about my film. Generally, people derive pleasure in pulling down others and create a negative image about them. I trust my capabilities and I believe I will get recognition as an actor very soon. Those who feel that I am not an actor will need to have patience. I am only three films old now.”

According to etc RADIO grossed 90lacs in first week. Its a hit man coz its profit

@Arslan: Radio has recovered the 6 crores that was initially spent on making the film, however it is unclear as to whether the film is a hit or not. Main thing is Himeshji has been widely appreciated by critics for his acting & performance in the film Jem

I am biggets HR fan like all of u and hit or not hit, HR’s film and music is best for me.
Now, lets talk about RADIO< music was a huge massive hit but film was complete disaster, avarage opening around whole india in the week is about 15%.
i am saying this cos just as HR is an honest person, we fans should be honest too.
movies is not hit if it is at least 50% occupancy rates at theaters.
RADIO was good only for one time at one theater in india on dec 4 which at one time, occupancy was about 60% but over all, theater was almost empty and some shows even had to be cancelled.
if u don’t believe me, do a fact check on reputable sites and get interviews from theater agents and box office reports not rumors.
radio wasn’t hit becos not many people watched at theater, now we must not do the same for KAJRAREE.
ofcourse has better story script and have no chance to fail like the way RADIO did.
many of us couldn’t watch RADIO cos it never got relealsed at many places, also not in USA.
so now go buy RADIO DVD film and watch it at home, money will benefit RADIO makers. i did and film for me was so good cos of HR’s superb acting!

idiot, RADIO movie DVD is out in the market, not pirated but the original DVD has been released for public.
go buy RADIO CD AND DVD to official store and watch and than come here to aks me other question.
some movie dvd comes 2 3 months after release, small smallr not so hit movies DVD release soon after movie release to make more profits by the producer and distributers.
RANBI’S ROCKET SIGN was also super flop at theater and its ORIGINAL DVD is now released in market cos film flopped at box office so they released DVD soon for the same reason.

Mr Fan of HR update yourself.. Radio’s Original DVD has been released in the markets..
If RADIO is on DVD y its promoz r not on aired? These r piracy dvd’s. And who said that film having 50% openning is a hit. A film is said to b a hit when the makers earn bonus. As for RADIO it was all bonus. No one has till now diclared RADIO disaster/flop. They said poor business. Till first week RADIO got 90,00,000business. Better than KURBAAN which was said flop on its first week. So whenever someone says anything about hit r flop do clear the meaning of hit r flop. KURBAAN got gr8 reviews frm every where coz it had kjo’s name n it had better business almost 60-80%on firt 3dayz but got flop. No website according to me gav RADIO a flop tag. I admit that RADIO’s business is poor.

again, why some of u r talking about pirated dvds? yaar, i am the one who ahs been saying buy original dvds and cds cos they are wirth every dollar or rupee.
RADIO dvd is out, not the pirated ones cos pirated are bad print that are sold by thugs and posted illegally on site for illegal download.

Radio was a movie for limited audience and its clash with much hyped Paa with Radio having poor promotion made movie collection week.
Anyways right now I am only worried about the new reality show where there will be lot of twist and turn. I somewhere feel himesh cannot win this cometition. Himesh is unconventional singer while most of others can sing all kind of song. Also the people of the show have started negative publicty about himesh. I don’t know how much damage this will cost to himesh image. Sargamapa has almost labled himesh as arrogant, selfish and loud person. Now this show will continue the same process in order to get TRP.
Remember one thing that when two person fights then for the third person who is watching, they both are wrong.

Karma: First of all dont get all hyped up nd calm dwn, i didnt mean to offend u personally and if in any case i have i apologise for that. Now coming back to the topic u r sayin that Rocket Singh has been released on DVD too.You need to get ur facts straight dude, it was released on 13th december, just been ten days, movie is still in theaters then why wud vYRF release original dvd just aftr ten daYs of release, huh?
The question is not about trust on himesh. The show wants TRP and for this they will spread rumors, create fight and drama. Himesh will unnecessary will get involved in all this just because he is the part of the show. From day one I have said that the show will be cheap as it has Mika in it. Today everyone is saying that after watching Mika fights. Himesh should have not done such cheap shows. He cannot be treated as contetent. A man who has given 500 songs as composer will be judge by people like mika. This sounds so odd.
it is unbelieavble that u will accuse me of not knowing facts when u r the one who doesn’t check facts before jumping to conclusion and always tell us of ur opinions only not news and facts. r u still doing this?
