It was a very tough poll - 2 days ago it was almost neck & neck with one vote difference between Kajra Kajra Kajraare & Rabba Luck Barsa, but in the end Rabba Luck Barsa made it! Thanks to all of you who voted this week

Background of the Song

Rabba Luck Barsa is a very emotional song from a “lover” who is searching for his “love”. Himeshji has given a rustic arabic feel to the song…the drums that come before the chorus of the song add a real depth and emphasis to the lyrics of the song. The music has been kept simple, but the song has been carried by Himeshji’s powerful vocals.

The lyrics written by Sameerji, show emotions that anyone looking for love can relate to. The lines “Teri Marzi Ho Agar, Ishq Mukammal Hojaye…” & “Dil Ki Arzoo Hai Saare, Faasle Mitade, Meri Tanhaiyon Ki Mehfil-E-Sajade…” strike an instant chord with the listener and one can hear the pain in Himeshji’s voice as he conveys the message in these lines.

If ever there was a case of talent being kept in cold storage, this is it. Sarfarosh director John Matthan is cooling his heels and literally sitting at home, waiting for his producers T-Series to wake up and finish his incomplete Himesh Reshammiya starrer A Love Issshtory. The sad news on his front is that the film is further pushed back by six months at least.

T-Series, it seems, is in no mood to finish the film, which is 90 per cent complete. Matthan shot for four days about two months ago. Just a couple of days of shooting remains, but Matthan has been told by T-Series that this can be done only after monsoons. A source says, “This is a real tragedy. T-Series was supposed to complete the film in summer.”

Those of you who are regular readers of our Blog, will be aware of our special feature that is called "Song of the Week“. Song of the Week is a feature that lets you: the fans – vote for the most popular album/song that should be discussed here at the Blog for 1 whole week! Now that Himeshji has 2 brand new releases: Kajraare & Milenge Milenge, it is time for us to bring back this wonderful feature again!

This time, to pick the 1st album to discuss, we will have a poll between Kajraare & Milenge Milenge. The winning album will then be split into the songs and Reshammiyans will vote each week for the song they wish to discuss from the album! The songs will be ranked in order of popularity e.g. from first to last chosen

The singer-turned-actor had shot for about 40 per cent of the film. His co-stars were newbies Niharika Singh (a beauty pageant winner) and model Jennifer Kotwal (who was once linked to Yuvraj Singh and has featured in south films).

Says Himesh, “I have no clue what is happening to the project. I have not heard from the producers for the last nine months.”

Himesh Reshammiya is someone, who started his showbiz career as a T.V. serial producer and got his first big break as a music composer with the Salman Khan starrer Pyaar Kiya Toh Darna Kya. After composing rocking music for several films such as Hello Brother, Humraaz, Aitraaz and Maine Pyaar Kyun Kiya, he surprised everyone when he crooned for Aashiq Banaya Aapne. The album went on to become a super-duper hit and since then there has been no looking back for the phenomenal man that he has become today.
