*Happy Rakshabandhan*
If not a family member, people often turn a friend or confidante into a part of the family. Rakhi brothers have performed kanyadaans at weddings and Rakhi sisters jumped to fulfill roles. Fashion designer Roopa Chaddha is singer Himesh Reshammiya’s Rakhi sister.
He says, “We always celebrate Raksha Bandhan. I respect Roopa a lot. She has been the one responsible for my makeover from a singer to a performer, to a music video star and now an actor. Her support has always been there for me.”
On her part, Roopa makes no big deal about the celebration, preferring to enjoy the relationship every day. She says, “I have always considered Himesh a brother. I don’t think we need a Raksha Bandhan or any other specific day to make our ties stronger. He is always there for support when I needed him.”
