News: Himeshji’s Concert in Israel 2011

Published by Jem at 3:56 pm under HR Interviews,HR News

In January Himesh Reshammiya will sing in Hebrew. The composer-singer-actor will be performing a show, Himesh Reloaded, in Israel early next year.

At the request of the organisers and his Israeli fans, he will sing one of the country’s most popular sound tracks. Incidentally, this is the first time he will be singing in a local language during a concert tour abroad. Confirming the news, Reshammiya says he’s looking forward to the performance: “Talks with the organisers, Moshe Primosher and Elias Harman, have been going on for a while. I’m glad things finally fell into place.”

He attributes the delay to date problems. “I was committed to other assignments,” he explains.

The three-hour concert will also feature Vinit Singh and Vaishali Made, who will perform for about an hour together. Interestingly, Reshammiya will learn Hebrew and the Israeli song via video-conferencing. “The organisers are arranging for one of their popular artistes to teach me the language and the song so I can also interact with the audience while on stage,” enthuses the singer. “Talking to the people in their language helps form an instant connect.”

Heavy metal
Reshammiya has also completely reinvented his sound design with some heavy metal beats in collaboration with his band for the show. Apart from his chartbusters, he will also sing his all-time favourites from the 1970’s, Mehbooba mehbooba… from Sholay (1975), Chura liya hai… from Yaadon Ki Baarat (1973) and Ek haseena thi… from Karz (1980).

Reshammiya’s Himesh Reloaded will culminate with his trademark ‘Rocking medley…’, featuring 50 tracks, which have reportedly been selected by his Israeli fans. He says, “It’s going to be my first visit to Israel, so I want to ensure that I fulfill all my fans’ farmaishain (requests).”

    I don’t drink. I don’t smoke. I don’t do drugs. My only addiction is Himeshji, I don’t need anything else. :)

What a man. May god keep blessing him and may he find more intellectual people who appreciate his talent.

I was watching Kurukshetra yesterday, and his background score was fantastic! Unlike most top composers today, he did justice to the movie, it was filled with appropriate sounds throughout the duration, there wasn’t a dull moment, and one could say that his efforts were genuine.

For sure his efforts towards learning Hebrew would be 100%, as always.

  13. Jemon 21 Sep 2010 at 12:40 am

@omshankar: Firstly, I am female, so no need to call me sir :D Secondly it is not possible that those are the lyrics of At Da Edge as the album hasn’t released yet! Please don’t believe everything you read at facebook or other sites – it’s always best to wait for reliable & confirmed news. Thanks, Jem

***@deeps: As I have said many times here before, it is entirely Himeshji’s decision with how he wants to progress with his career & as fans, I truly believe we should support and respect that. Things are delayed because the decisions of films rest on the shoulders of other people – not Himeshji. Just be patient and I am sure all will be well for all of us soon :D Thanks, Jem ***

@jem:i respect HR in whatever he does…but sometimes when things dont go in our favour we tend to become weak and speak hastily…same with me here…

  21. Jemon 02 Oct 2010 at 6:01 pm

@deeps :o) – Just remember “when there is faith, there is no fear”! I understand how u feel but remember, things will only happen when they are supposed to happen – for Himeshji & for us as well :D Jem

I’d just like to make one thing very clear to everyone: Even when there may be quiet periods here at the blog, please do not ever assume/think that Himeshji is being forgotten by his fans etc etc. – I & the site team, will be supporting Himeshji forever ;) – as fans we have to understand that each celebrity goes through quiet phases in their careers but always bounce back with a bang! So on that note, Jai Mata Di, Let’s Rock! Jem :D
