Movie’s Initial frame expressed special thanks to Jordan Tourism (Well Deserved!). The Movie started with Himesh (face covered) standing at the vast desert. The tune of Rabba Luck Barsa is played in the background.

    # Himesh (Rocky) Plays a role of Super Singer, who had accidentally killed Younger brother of a Pakistani Terrorist, hence, Rocky’s life is in danger. Rocky is given extra security by Armed force (Role played by Gulshan Grover). The Police force advises Rocky to change his Name (Rocky to Rajeev) and Location to be safe from the terrorist. The question which remains, Is just changing name enough? cause there wasn’t a change of even one hair in Rocky and Rajeev.

    # Mona Lisa (Nargis) plays the role of a Prostitute, she has to move from country to country as advised by her boss (Role brilliantly played by Amrita Singh).
Rocky falls in love with Nargis and also follows her country to country.

#In this journey when Rocky makes access to his bank account, the terrorist gets the information of his positioning.

#The second half of the movie appeals well because.. here is where the action emotion takes a pace. The movie Ends on a Happy note.

    # The Music throughout the film is placed smartly and it doesn’t seem like forceful placing of any song.

    # When performance is to be considered, Himesh’s earlier film Radio had a better performance of the talent.. but let’s not forget that Kajraare was shot before Radio. In Kajraare Himesh’s act is strictly average, especially you feel it when he expresses his emotions while Nargis is taken away from her.

    # The new comer Mona Lisa looks very beautiful and at the same time acted her part nicely.

    # Amrita Singh’s act needs a mentioning! Her performance was fabulous and its surely something to look out for.

    # Pooja Bhatt handles the project nicely and with ease.

    # The costumes of the movie are good; though there is no explanation why in the red Hot desert Himesh is made to wear thick two piece leather jackets.

On the Whole.. Kajraare is must for bollywood fans.. and must must must for Himesh Fans
High Points of the film: Script, Dialogues, Location, Music, Cinematography and Direction.

    My Rating 2.5/5

    Himesh Reshammiya’s “Kajraare” – Review
MERA MANZAR MERE KHVABOON SE BHI HASEEN HAI – HIMESH RESHAMMIYA

Himesh Reshammiya?, is Himeshji the 1 who acted in Karzzzz , oh cant belive it after watching KAJRAARE..what a diffrence..ok his last flick “RADIO”…had a much better acting stuff then AKS & KARZZZZ,but it was the infancy period of his acting, but KAJRAARE altogether a total matured PROFESIONAL actor & “PAKKA/PUKHTA” , FULLPROFF ACTING by Himeshji.

In his last 3 films we have seen some forced acting in some scens, but all those erros have disappeared in KAJRAARE.. but when there is RAM (HIMESH RESHAMMIYA) there has to be a RAAVAN (BHUSHAN KUMAR)…

Yeh now lets move on with the film…after we have done some anylisis of his acting.

the 1st frame a DESERT SCENE /pooja bhatt behind the camera lights/camera/action & Himesh Reshammiya walks in as Rajeev(who is ROCKY in reality)….& then it goes up with OH….OHOHOHOH………..OH…OHHOHOHOH……..OH….OHOHOH……rabba luck barsa at H.R’s entry ,is welcomed with wisthels, clapps & shouts……

Rajeev is actually ROCKY who acidently kills the brother of a MOST WANTED TERROIST. & to get out of his frame he goes with the name RAJEEV….& is under security.

monlissa is a MUJRA dancer / prostitute..,Rajeev falls in love with her at 1st sight with KAJRAA KAJRAA KAJRAARE inthe background
(will nt give out the full story)

& to get her he is ready to do anything..& then his journey to ein his love NARGIS begins, but its not easy for him as BABUR the terrorist makes his beloved one his target……
but as said EVIL HAS TO GET IN THE MUD……
the bad guy get killed & ROCKY & NARGIS wedding goes as AFREEN starts in the background

all the fighting stuffs by rajeev…is done to a very good extent the KARZZZZ …..

    SONGS :

TUJHE DEKH KE ARMAAN JAGE GET ITS PLACE WHEN THE SCARF SCENE IS IN FRAME
“JORDAN SE DUBAI , DUBAI SE HOTEL AUR HOTEL SE YAHAN SIRF YE SCARF DENE AYE HO” – NARGIS

TERIYAAN MERIYAAN GETS IN WITH A ROMANCE OF RAJEEV & NARGIS ( NO KISSING SCENES)

WOH LAMHA PHIR SE JEENA HAI & SANU GUZRA ZAMANA YAAD AA GAYA HAS ITS “GHUM”

KAJRAARE TITTLE TRACK ONCE AGAIN MAKES ITS PLACE IN THE END…OF THE FILM…

ON THE WHOLE IF BHUSHAN KUMAR HAVE NT ACTED IN SUCH A CRUEL MANNER HIMESHJI’S ACTING WOULD HAVE GOT A BIG FAME…….OF COURSE THIS MOVIEE WOULD HAVE DONE BETTER AT THE BOX OFFFICE IF IT WOULD HAVE RELEASED WORLDWIDE & COLD HAVE BEEN THE NEXT “AAP KAA SURROOR”….

ALL TOGETHER A DIFFRENT CONCEP , WAS A GR8 SLAP 4 THE HATERS,BUT THE HATER HIMSELF WAS IN OUR GANG……..

SORRY TO SAY , BUT ALL THOSE WHO HAVE MISSED KAJRAARE HAVE MISSED A BIG-ONE…THIS WAS SHURLEY THE TURNING POINT……….

    * * * *

4/5 – jai mata di – Himesh Reshammiya Rocks

Though this is not a review, is just to provide information that, the movie is NOT being shown in Pune.

I have been in touch with the rude authorities of Apollo Theatre, and they aren’t going to show it.

So those in Mumbai, lucky fellows.

Kajraare ki story jab hum padte the tab bahot hi strong lagti the, but pooja bhatt ne wo interesting story line nahi rakhi, movie mai jo villan tha wo villan kam joker zyada lagra tha, jab pata chala k rajeev (HR) k peche ek international terrorist pada hai tab laga k fatte villan niklega, but it failed, amrita singh’s acting was fairely good, Monalaizza’s acting was very good, background music, locations, dialoges were also good, but i think the movie would be made better…mere isaab se villan ne movie kharab kardi coz usme dam hi nai tha, the story line is good, but it has not picturise properly…The songs are fantastic,,,,himeshji 3 look main the,,,LONG HAIR, WITH CAP & SHORT HAIR…Himeshji’s acting was very good, even he fighted very well in action scenes…Maybe the director & screenplay had done more work on their job, it would be an awsome movie…

Ill give 3/5,,,,just for Himeshji’s hardwork in the movie…

I would rate this movie 4/5. Have deducted one mark for the movie became slightly predictable in 2nd half.

Everyone acted well. Amrita Singh, Javed Sheikh, Gulshan Grover, Mona Laiza, etc.

Our RockStar was fantastically fabulous. In first half he spoke few words and enacted with the way of emotions like eyes, which is a rarity for most actors and hence he should be praised for that. He has developed his own style of acting, which made me hoot quite a few times out of sheer praise, especially in the scenes where he displayed emotions of anger.

Musically it was of course awesome, my picks being Woh lamha, Sanu Guzra, Teriyan Meriyan, and Tujhe Dekhke.

Its a sophisticated masala entertainer, with a nice story, great locations, something different for Indian audiences (how many of us have seen Middle East and Pakistan’s culture?). In fact India hasn’t been depicted at all, and for me that was a USP as well, something fresh I hadn’t experienced before.

Direction by Pooja ji is fabulous. I feel this is her best work ever. In first half, the way with which Pooja ji has shot several scenes, are a treat to the eyes.

Shagufta ji has written nice lines in Urdu. Some of the dialogues were memorable, like the one in which he goes to return Mona’s scarf, and when Himeshji approaches her mentor for proposal.

Bapi-tutul’s background music is fab too. They have used Rabba Luck Barsa 2-3 times as an Instrumental piece.

Mahesh Bhatt ji should be acknowledged for penning an offbeat yet commercially viable story.

The movie can be watched with family. Even the intimate and brothel scenes were shot so aesthetically, that you won’t feel any kind of cheapness in them.

Himeshji gave his 100%, no one can doubt his dedication.

I feel this movie was better than Karzzzz and Radio. While it does cater to the masses, it has got a distinct classy feel attached to it.

The movie is better than most movies being released nowadays and I would rate it among Top-5 movies this year. I’d also brand it as the best commercial movie I have seen in a long time.

  27. Yaju Aryaon 07 Nov 2010 at 11:50 pm

Summarizing the reasons why I liked it
    1. It was set in Middle East and Pakistan, something I haven’t seen in Hindi cinema yet.
    2. It touched the topic of prostitution, without being cheap.
    3. Our rockstar had a starkly different approach in first half, where he spoke very little dialogues and emoted more with facial expressions. The expressions of anger, isn’t over acting, rather his own way of enacting something. In history every actor who has tried doing something different had to face humiliation.
    4. It is a trademark of all HR movies that fantastic songs creep up every 10-15 minutes, and he continued that tradition.
    5. The movie is a great step for helping us make a mark in Pakistan and Middle East. Its a beginning, once we start getting noticed we’ll expand our territories.
    6. The director didn’t fall into conventional Hindi trappings in the way of her direction. This is something associated with Hollywood, where you don’t show the same thing like how others have shown, rather show it with a new perspective keeping in mind that the viewer would have easily expected these things.
    7. Dialogues were in Urdu, which gave the movie more Pakistani feel.
    8. As the movie was based in Pakistan, they made the villain an Afgani, so that it won’t become an anti-Pakistani movie. This movie is a good attempt on bringing Indians and Pakistanis on the same platform.
