The Xpose: shows an interesting side of 60’s cinema

Published by at 12:53 am under The Xpose

The makers of ‘The Xpose’ are keeping their fingers crossed for a favourable response from the audience. “Himesh (Reshammiya) has worked hard, not just in transforming himself into a superstar of the 60s, but also on his performance as a suspended cop-turned-actor,” says director Ananth Narayan Mahadevan.

The musical thriller features Zoya Afroz (Miss India 2013 second runner-up), Sonali Raut and rapper Yo Yo Honey Singh in a negative role along with Irrfan (in a special appearance) and Adil Hussain. Many scenes in the film, produced by Vipin Reshammiya, are inspired by real incidents. “The audience will have fun guessing which stars have inspired the sequences,” says Ananth, who plays a director in the movie.

He is sure the youth will be keen to know about 60s’ Bollywood. “It’s a fascinating subject. Right from verbal duels between rivals, to hiring black marketeers to sabotage others’ films, everything has been depicted,” he concludes.

The Xpose, produced by HR Musik, releases today.
