The Voice India: Battle Rounds have begun!

Published by at 12:49 am under The Voice India

Reality shows from Gujarat are high on popularity quotient – not only because of viewership, but also because participants from the state are immensely talented too. Kushal Choksi, a young contestant from ‘The Voice Of India’, who hails from Ahmedabad has an interesting story to share. Kushal who’s from Himesh Reshammiya’s team has bagged the best reward ever! In the ongoing ‘Battles’ round Kushal performed so well that coach Himesh couldn’t give up on the opportunity of utilizing his talent.

The composer-singer was so impressed with his singing, that before Kushal knew it, he was offered a playback song right on the show. Himesh who’s known to be on a lookout for fresh talent will be recording with Kushal for his upcoming project soon.

Himesh said, “”Kushal is really very talented. His performance was outstanding in the Battle round and he wowed me with his voice. It was a difficult decision to choose between Kushal and Piyush; however, Piyush made the cut. But I am working on a song currently and Kushal’s voice, in my mind, fits the bill. Yes, I did offer to take him on-board for recording a song and I will keep that promise.”

Kushal is obviously on cloud nine about his opportunity. He says, “A chance to record with none other than Himesh Reshammiya is like a long cherished dream come true. Although I am out of the show, I have returned home happy.”
