It gives me great pleasure to say, that after interviewing Music Directors Nitz n Sony earlier this year, our next exclusive interview is with one of my (personal favourite!) singers, Neeti Mohan. You have all heard Neeti in Himeshji’s many songs from last year: Tu Hi Tu, Keeda and Just Look into my Eyes to name but a few. We hope you will all enjoy this interview as Neeti shares her experiences of recording these super hit songs, and her rapport with Himeshji.
1) Neeti, I have never forgotten how Himeshji praised your performance of ‘Aye Bachu’ from Ghajini on the reality show Music Ka Maha Muqabla in 2009. How has your journey as a singer evolved, since you appeared on the show?
NEETI- During ‘Music ka Maha Muqabla’ Himeshji had told me that he had liked my voice. I am so glad that I finally got to sing for him. ‘Aye Bachu’ performance had got me a standing ovation from the audience. It feels great when I look back at my musical journey right from winning reality shows to finally singing in films.
2) We first heard you sing for Himeshji earlier this year on ‘The Xpose’ album. How was your experience of recording ‘Dard Dilo Ke reprise’ and ‘Catch Me If You Can’?
NEETI – The first time I sang for Himesh Sir was actually ‘Tu hi Tu’ from Kick. I was a bit nervous in the beginning, but he made me feel comfortable. He was happy with ‘Tu Hi Tu’ and after that; he called me to sing many more songs. Though, it was ‘The Xpose’ album that got released first. Working with Himesh sir is really nice. He gives me the freedom to sing how I would want to.
As we enjoy Himeshji’s first song (as a singer) in 2015 ‘Bulbul’ (Hey Bro), we bring you the chance to get to know the Music Directors of ‘Bulbul’ Nitz n Sony (Nitin Arora & Sony Chandy) and their experience of working with Himeshji, in this exclusive interview at Himesh-Reshammiya.com
1) Congratulations Nitz n Sony for the amazing response of Naach Meri Bulbul! Please share with us your experience of creating the song.
Both: Thank you so much for the wishes and Thank Youuuuuu to the audience for giving the song so much love and appreciation. It really means a lot to us! “Bulbul” is essentially the “Biggest Song” on the album. Be it visually, orchestrally, or be the Super Star presence of Himesh Reshammiya & Shreya Ghoshal. The requirement for the song came up in our 1st script narration. Ganesh Acharya and director Ajay Chandhok wanted a “Grand Song” for the introduction of the Villain in the film and the song was also to feature the gorgeous Mahie Gill in a guest appearance. That was our brief. So we decided upon creating a hard core Masala Song with heavy Indian rhythm, semi classical composition and spice it up instrumentally, with Western flavours.
Thank you all for loving Himeshji’s fantastic, chart topping music from Action Jackson! We have a very special interview with renowned rapper and musician Arya Acharya. I am sure many of you have enjoyed his high energy rap in Punjabi Mast from Action Jackson. Arya has worked on many albums with Himeshji, over the years. Read on to find out more about this talented artist, his journey so far and his future projects!
Punjabi Mast ~ Action Jackson
1) Congratuations Arya, on the success of Surya Asth…Punjabi Mast from Action Jackson! The song, that features your rap has become a very popular track. Please tell us how this collaboration came about.
A – Firstly a big Thanx to all the HR fans for appreciating the song, As usual Himesh ji called me for this song, with a Rap angle in mind, So myself, Himesh ji, Sameer ji & Prabhu Sir jammed together on the concept and lyrics, and what I wrote and delivered in that 1 hour Music session was liked by all of them, so I dubbed the song in another 30 minutes and my Rap section was born.
2) Please share with us your journey into Bollywood and how it all began.
A – I started composing and writing rap songs at the age of 15 during my schooling days. I would often jot down songs, which had a clear message to convey of causes, which bothered me and people around me. Soon, I made my professional debut as a composer, lyricist and rapper with the album Pump Up Yo Style with Baba Sehgal in 2001. Later, my work was appreciated in Funtoosh, Phir Hera Pheri, Namaste London, Apne, Money hai tho Honey hai, Humko Deewana Kar gaye, Fool & Final, Laaga Chunari Mein Daag, Bodyguard and more of such Bollywood films. Over ten years, with more than 400 Film songs, Remixes and Private music albums including the Megahit “Aap kaa Suroor” with singer-actor Himesh Reshammiya, “Ustad & the Divas” with Maestro “Ustad Sultan Khan”, and “Kajra Nite” with Vocal Genius “Sonu Nigam”.
Hum Pagal Nahin Hai Bhaiya…Hamara Dimaag Kharab Hai!…Teri Adaa, Mera Nasha…Tera Ye Dil…Mera Pata…Masti Sar Pe Chadh Rahi Hai Sunle Dil Ki Baat…I’m So Crazy For You Baby, Don’t You Break My Heart…Ho Na Jaaye Barbaad, Teri Meri Raat…
I hope you are all enjoying the wonderful happy music that Himeshji has given us in Sajid Khan’s forthcoming comedy caper ‘Humshakals’. It is with great pleasure, we bring you all a wonderful interview with one of the lyricists of ‘Humshakals’, the multi-talented Mayur Puri. As you read on, you will realise that Mayurji has done a lot more than just writing lyrics ;o) So it is no surprise that when 2 multi-talented artists come together, they give us pure magic!
Enjoy this very special interview with Mayur Puri as he talks to us about his career so far, and his experience of working with Himeshji.
1) Mayurji, one can say that you too, have donned many hats: as a lyricist, a dialogue writer and a screenplay writer. Which is your favourite hat to wear and how do you manage all three professions?
A) I do one thing at a time. That’s the secret. If you want to do anything well, don’t multitask. Just do that one thing with full attention and focus. As far as enjoying is concerned, I enjoy the work if I’m working with friends. If I get along with someone, then months, even years of writing a script pass by in a jiffy! And if you don’t gel with someone then even one song sitting can be hell. Thankfully, I’ve always worked with friends.
It is with great pleasure that I bring you this very special interview with esteemed television and film actor Mr Naresh Suri.
He is playing the role of Mishraji in The Xpose! I am very sure you will all be familiar with his roles in TV serials such as Astitva Ek Prem Kahani, Awaz, Sindoor Tere Naam Ka and more recently Devon Ka Dev Mahadev on Life OK. He has also worked in films such as Andaz, Aashiqui, Waqt ki Raftar and many more!
Nareshji has very graciously agreed to share with us his experience of working in Himeshji’s home production The Xpose.
A love that is pure…A love that makes you soar….is Ishq Unplugged…A love that has chemistry, a love that is no mystery…Ishq Unplugged…
