It will be interesting to see which song will make it between Tujhse Kahan Juda Hoon Main and Pyar Le Pyar De.

As always, voting will remain open from today until next Sunday, so there is plenty of time for you to listen to the songs and cast your vote!

Also, don’t forget to watch our Rockstar on Love Me India Kids tonight at 9pm IST and 8pm GMT.

Happy voting Reshammiyans!

News: Himeshji’s most unforgettable songs as a singer

Published by under HR News

The hit-machine of 2000s, Himesh Reshammiya completed two decades of composing music in Bollywood in 2018. Hitting the bullseye with his very first film ‘Pyaar Kiya To Darna Kya’, Himesh has cemented a legacy on a solid bank of stellar compositions and tens of hit songs crooned by him. Famous for his initial nasal twang, let’s have a look at some of the most popular songs that were sung by Himesh Reshammiya.

Aashiq Banaya Aapne and Aap Ki Kashish

Unleashing his spell on Bollywood, Himesh took to the microphone as a leading vocal singer in 2005 film ‘Aashiq Banaya Aapne’. Picturized on the then ‘serial kisser’ Emraan Hashmi and Tanushree Dutta, the film’s title track was a sensual number that enthralled the entire nation. The soundtrack featured more chartbusters, particularly ‘Dil Nashin Dil Nashin’ and ‘Mar Jaawan Mit Jaawan’, but Himesh’s ‘Aap Ki Kashish’ emerged as another winner from the album.

Song of the Week (3): Tera Fitoor ~ Genius

Published by under Song of the Week

…Ishq Jo Zara Sa Tha Woh Badh Gaya Re…Tera Fitoor…Jab Se Chadh Gaya Re…

Hello Reshammiyans!

Thanks to all Reshammiyans who have been consistently voting in our Song of the Week polls for the Genius soundtrack. Finally, this week’s winning song is the one that started the hype for the enite soundtrack, the uber melodious Tera Fitoor.

Background of the Song

Bollywood music lovers had been patiently waiting for another collaboration between popular singer Arijit Singh and our Rockstar Himeshji. Arijit ended up performing the song during a concert of his, and then, as they say, the rest is history! Tera Fitoor created an unprecedented hype for the soundtrack and it continues even after its release. Himeshji’s imitable melodious, romantic phrasing, is what dominates the song and coupled with Arijit’s velvet vocals, makes it a dream to listen to.

If you enjoyed this week’s Song of the Week, do share why in the comments below.

Song of the Week 2: Dil Meri Na Sune ~ Genius

Published by under Song of the Week

Dil Meri Na Sune…Dil Ki Main Na Sunu…

Hello Reshammiyans,

Thanks to all of you who voted for the second Song of the Week from the Genius soundtrack. I honestly expected it to be Tera Fitoor this week (where are the Arijit Singh fans at?), but to my pleasant surprise, the winning song is Dil Meri Na Sune!

Dil Meri Na Sune – Genius

Background of the Song

Dil Meri Na Sune is a highly awaited collaboration between Himeshji and Atif Aslam, ever since they both appeared on the reality show Surkshetra. Himeshji has a unique method of bringing out the best of any singer under his guidance, and he has surely shown us a different side to Atif’s voice in this particular song.

Whenever I listen to the song, I feel that I can tell just how much Atif has enjoyed singing Himeshji’s composition, and how well his voice has carried the melody. There is also a reprise version of the song featuring singer Payal Dev. The reprise version is the same as the original except for the additional female vocals, but they are singing the original lyrics. I much prefer the original version of the song as not only is it highly melodious, but it also reminds me of some of Himeshji’s compositions as a music director.

Expressing his happiness Himesh revealed, “Michael is a very unique contestant, he doesn’t knows the language properly but sings extremely well. He has adapted the Indianess in him and is very proud to portray that. I was so emotionally touched with his gesture and performance that I wanted to compliment him in his language. Genius: Arijit Singh’s Tera Fitoor Continues To Spread Love On The Romantic Journey Set By Himesh Reshammiya

Published by under HR News

There are songs that turn out to be instant hits but then there are only a few which manage to live on for days and weeks to come as well. Well, Tera Fitoor has turned out to be on such gem in the current season that has continued to find traction amongst the youth more than a month after it was unveiled.

A love song that is rendered by Arijit Singh, it marks the romantic debut of Utkarsh Sharma in the world of films. While his film Genius has just released, what has been unanimously appreciated is the music that the Anil Sharma directed affair boasts of. No wonder, those at Tips (which has backed the music) are quite happy with the kind of success that ‘Tera Fitoor’ has managed for itself.

Song of the Week: Holi Birajma ~ Genius

Published by under Song of the Week

Sarararara Holi Birajma! Tujhse Hai Rangoli Birajma…Tu Meri Humjoli Birajma…Tujhse Hai Holi Birajma…

Hello Reshammiyans!

Thanks to all of you who voted for the first song of the week from the Genius soundtrack. The winning song for this week is none other than the super colourful Holi Birajma.

Holi Birajma – Genius

Background of the Song

Holi Birajma has been sung by singer Jubin Nautiyal and surprisingly this is the first time that he has sung for Himeshji. The other surprising factor is that Holi Birajma is in a totally different genre, compared to the type of songs we usually hear Jubin sing, yet he has performed it so well with bags of energy and enthusiasm. I really do hope that we get to hear more songs from this duo as Himeshji always knows how to bring out the best of his singers.

The Holi Birajma promo, is my most favourite one from the film, as it is not only extremely colourful, but captures the essence of the song well and Utkarsh Sharma matches Jubin’s voice wonderfully on screen. Himeshji is truly the expert in giving us such authentic and traditional festival songs.

If you voted for Holi Birajma, do let me know why you like the song in a comment below.

We will vote for the next favourite song from the soundtrack next Sunday. Keep an eye at our twitter @HimeshjiFan4Eva for a reminder for this so that you don’t forget to vote.

HR News: Himeshji to feature in a double role in his next film

Published by under HR News

HR

From Salman Khan to Shah Rukh Khan to Aamir Khan to Varun Dhawan, many actors have attempted the double role genre. In fact, Salman and Varun have been the leads of films titled Judwaa [twins] and its reboot Judwaa 2 respectively. Now it seems that the musician turned actor, Himesh Reshammiya is keen on doing something similar for his next. Although he doesn’t feature in Bollywood films too often, it seems that he has now locked a script for his next.

Himesh Reshammiya has by far acted in approximately 8 commercial feature films. His repertoire includes films like Aap Ka Surroor that was his acting debut. A sequel of it titled Teraa Suroor released in 2016. Karzzz, a remake of the 1980 Rishi Kapoor, Tina Munim starrer Karz, Radio, Kajraare, Damadamm!, The Xpose were some films in which he played the lead role. He also played the supporting role in the Akshay Kumar, Asin starrer Khiladi 786.

Speaking of his next, it is yet to be seen if it will be a remake of any film or whether a sequel to one of his earlier films. On the other hand, now yet again Himesh will be seen in a novel avatar since he is playing a double role for the first time. However, no further details on the film, like the director etc. have been finalized as yet. We hear that even the leading lady is yet to be locked.
